Suka sok pinter. Padahal gue kerap baru ngerti kalo fase-nya sudah selesai. Jadi pilihannya: Mau bersusah-susah payah salah dulu (dan…

  • The Unclarity of Taxation towards Foreign E-Commerce Players in Indonesia

    Adjie Priambada
    20 Nov 2014 | 11:48 pm
Ironic. Despite the fact that e-commerce industry enjoys fruitful growth in Indonesia, the country has yet had a clear yet strict regulation which administers foreign e-commerce players, making them immune to taxes. Considering that more and more foreign players flood Indonesian market today, this is a real deal for the government to handle. Basically, every payment which goes abroad will be charged according to article 26 of the Income Tax Regulation. However, when it comes to foreign e-commerce companies whose native countries don’t have any tax treaty with Indonesia, the regulation’s…

Photographs and story by Laura Csortan I’ve been to Bali numerous times now and every time is a unique experience. To date, this one is my favourite and certainly the most luxurious. Another fan of Alila Villas Soori is none other than The Bieb’s, that’s right Justin Bieber has visited for the last three years with his Mother. Photographs and story by Ernanda Putra : http://instagram.com/ernandaputra   “This is paradise” were the first words that slipped out of my mouth when I arrived at Alila Villas Soori. Although cliché, I didn’t know if there were any other words that could truly capture the beauty of the mountains unfolding into the rice fields against the gleaming black sand beach. As we stepped out of our transportation, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff with lemongrass-scented towels to refresh our faces from fatigue. Later on, we took a Segway tour around the resort and the…

    Shayna Hiller
    5 Nov 2014 | 4:36 pm
Yoga is a sneaky thing. It crept up on me without announcing itself and snuck its way into my body, my thoughts, and ultimately, my life. I took my first yoga class while studying abroad in Australia, and since then yoga has been a part of each and every day since. Surprisingly, yoga helped me navigate through and heal from an eating disorder, process past traumas, create a fit body I feel healthy in, reduced my stress, cleared up my digestive system, and so much more. Practicing yoga daily doesn’t necessarily mean I attend a structured yoga class on a daily basis. Just like you, I have a…

With heavily lashed eyelids that blink softly over brown doe-eyes, a timid nature shown in every unstable step, and an apparent affection for ambling amongst flowers, it’s impossible not to love these gracious, forest-dwelling mammals. On the fringes of the West Bali National Park that touch the still stretch of saltwater known as the Bali Strait, the fairytale of deer life is an accessible reality. Life in Bali this fortnight has been all about the ties that bind. Relations between nations and contrasting cultures coming together in matrimony as East meets West. Canggu is arguably becoming one of Bali’s most progressive and culturally fascinating areas. Your mum will liken it to “how she remembers Legian in the 80s”, and you will hopefully never liken it to “the new Seminyak”. Having really only found its name on the tourism map over the past few years, Canggu is maturing rapidly and is undergoing a very visible revolution, as a graffitied wall along “the shortcut” suggests. As construction continues and creatives gather to cultivate, there is a fascinating undercurrent of cool becoming increasingly prevalent as Canggu…
