  • One of Indonesia’s Most Important Museums: National Museum

    Tasa Nugraza Barley
    13 Oct 2014 | 5:26 am
by Tasa Nugraza Barley There’s an old saying in Indonesia that a big nation is one that appreciates its history. Most Indonesians seem to prefer to spend their weekends and other leisure time at the many shopping malls that are scattered across Jakarta. Overlooked by the public attention, the capital is home to a series of rich,…

By DEBORAH NETBURN Archaeologists working in Indonesia say prehistoric hand stencils and intricately rendered images of primitive animals were created nearly 40,000 years ago. These images, discovered in limestone caves on the island of Sulawesi just east of Borneo, are about the same age as the earliest known art found in the caves of northern Spain and southern France, suggesting that Europe can no longer claim to be the sole birthplace of art. The findings were published Wednesday in the journal Science. “We now have 40,000-year-old rock art in Spain and Sulawesi,” said Adam…

When doing this, I successfully reduced the size of my photo library from 65 GB (This year iPhoto’s library only) into 9.5 GB (All my photos). Here’s how: Export your photo from iPhoto to particular directory. I named…
