Thinking about it makes me wonder how amazing that we got this far. A sort of miracle.

Hari ini kedua kalinya gue ketiduran setelah sahur pas nunggu subuh ((Goler-goler liatin Makna tidur, eh gue ketiduran juga)). Efeknya sama persis kaya dua atau tiga hari lalu pas gue ketiduran juga setelah sahur saat nungguin subuh: ngantuk ngga beres-beres. Padahal ketidurannya cuma 10-20 menitan doang. Lesson learned: jangan tidur atau ketiduran setelah sahur.

Tips yang selalu kepake tiap kali gue berada di kondisi buset-mahal-amat-ini-beneran-harus-dibeli-apa-ngga?

Sneak peak of my upcoming fourth WordPress theme of the year (my goal is to release six themes this year). The goal is it should look good even if you have no image at all. It comes with my usual signature: gigantic header, mobile first, and simplicity. Fun story: I've designed a theme for a month until I realize it felt boring. Last night I ditched the work in progress design and design this theme from scratch. And I finished it in less than 24 hours (I'll do mode design process in browser as I add WordPress' native feature support). Funny how things work out.View Original:…

Story by Peta Kaplan and Ben Sandzer-Bell Bali is a universe unto itself. Due to its idiosyncratic and all pervasive Hindu culture, Bali can provide some management concepts worth emulating, the world over. Specifically, I refer to the three-tiered concept of Trihitakarana which dictates harmony around the themes of human respect to God, human respect to other humans and human respect for the environment. Running a modern business leads one increasingly to think in terms of measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), so it is with great interest that I sit down to have a conversation with…

Because we like you, and because we love Bali, we’ve taken the time to put together a list of the top traveller mistakes in Bali made by the unaware traveller when paying a visit to Indonesia’s most idyllic island. • Dengue Fever: Natural cures

    Tayla Gentle
    30 Jun 2015 | 12:00 am
Unfortunately, tropical travel does come with a downside – tropical diseases. While lush rainforest, still lakes, humid nights and rolling thunderstorms may make for pristine holiday conditions, they can also be the perfect breeding grounds for a few nasty bugs. One such disease to befall the common traveller, disrupting surf trips and cancelling trek plans across the tropical and sub-tropical world, is Dengue Fever. A mosquito-born virus of the Flavivridae family, Dengue jumps from human to human through the itch of a passing mozzie bite. There are four strains of Dengue, DEN-1, DEN-2,…

Conceived and delivered by four Sydney-siders with boundless experience in partying all over the world, this venue is set to satiate all that enter, fitting neatly into a gap that has long been empty in this part of the world. The very eclectic brains and brawn behind this operation are Dane Gorrel, Josh Clapp, Matt Weir and James Taylor. To cut the…

I’m just a normal guy walking around in shoes made by Chinese slave children, who gives the finger to swans and yells at rainbows to ‘tone down the fruity shit’ and ‘stop rubbing it in our Goddamned faces’. A normal guy. I do have some lady type feelings and I’m capable of compassion for other human beings (if they’re on the TV and I don’t have to speak to them). But like most normal people where I really go weak is baby animals. Especially baby dogs. Here’s a tip for all you writers (advertising hacks) who are working on…
  • Top ten things to do with kids in Bali

    Electra Gillies
    22 Jun 2015 | 12:00 am
When that time comes around to pack up and embark on the annual family holiday, the excitement and the renewed sense of adventure is at an all time high. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, what to do with the kids can often become a source of unwanted stress and your time in paradise is meant to be carefree, right? Let’s face it, the little ones often have a very short attention span, so keeping them occupied is imperative to any parents sanity. Long gone are the days where a game of I-spy in the car, or an ice cream at the beach will suffice as creative sources of…
